When do I need to collect consent or get an agreement signed?
Whenever there’s person or a copyrighted thing/location in the media you produce and publish, then you need written permission. This can happen through a consent (consents can be withdrawn), or through a written agreement that can provide more permanent usage terms.
What types of contracts can Connie handle?
Connie can handle an infinite number of contract templates, and you can easily create your own, so that they meet your specific needs. However, here’s a list of some of the contracts Connie is being used for most of the time:
– Participant Agreements
– Model Release Forms
– Actor Agreements
– Extras Agreements
– Location Usage Contracts
– GDPR Consents
– Composer Agreements
– Freelancer Agreements (Project Specific)
– Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
How do people sign a contract?
Connie is an e-Signing platform, meaning that the entire document workflow is handled digitally. Once a contract is sent to a participant/actor/extra, this person can review and sign the contract digitally, using their finger.
This method of signature is legally binding in Denmark, but please check your country’s legal rules before you start using Connie.
We are working to implement nationally issued signature mechanisms like the Danish MitID and similar.
How are contracts secure?
Once a contract is signed by the recipient, the system instantly generates a PDF copy with the signature in it along with a digital fingerprint uniquely tying the contract information to the signature. It then sends a copy to both the signer and the Connie platform.
This way, a non-editable snapshot is created and shared with both parties.
